In the midst of whatever you are doing, wonder to yourself, ask God, "What is the truth here, really? What is the truth of this, really? What is the truth of this person I'm looking at? What is the truth of this sandwich I'm about to eat? What is the truth of this awesome sunset I'm seeing? What is the truth of this traffic jam?"
Want to know what the truth is. You are making an assessment about the predicament you are in. We are all making assessments. Based on the assessment you are making, you respond a certain sort of way.
The idea is to put your normal assessments, as well as the ways in which you would then respond, in pause-mode. Don't just assess and respond habitually. If you want to have a different experience, start doing things a little bit differently. Put what you would normally do in pause-mode. You don't have to conjure up anything. Just stop doing what you would normally do. When you stop doing what you would normally do and you inquire, "What is the truth here, really?"— because there is Something Real happening — you will start to have a clearer experience about it all.
The homework is: Do this when it occurs to you. If it occurs to you, and it WILL occur to you, do it right in that moment. The more you do it, the more it will occur to you — which will seem like a bummer some of the time because it is un-rutting you from your habitual assessment and response mode, but this is why it is actually awesomely cool.
What is the truth here, really? It's an easy couple words.
The other insight that ties into this is the idea that The All is being all. The All is being all. Therefore, if you see anything truly, you will recognize it as being the specific and unique identification of The All. Everything is God in infinite, specific Self-expression. When you stop whitewashing everything with your usual assessments, then everything will start looking God-like. There's nothing else it could be!
