I went to the screening of a new movie last night about Yogananda, and I'm happy to say it was really good! It's called Awake. I highly recommend seeing it when it comes out in October. There's nice, old footage of him and his guru in India, and as familiar as I was with him, much of his story I had no clue about.
Yogananda was one of the first people that got me on the Path. I remember seeing a little blue book of his on the counter of the very first health food store I had ever been in. It was called Metaphysical Meditations. It was blue, it had a picture of his face on the cover with his long hair, and I immediately fell in love with him.
