Years ago when I was first getting into Yoga, I read somebody's advice about how to meditate. His advice was, "Meditate on the Infinite."
I remember reading that, but, man, that did not make sense to me, except sort of, but not really. Not enough to where I really knew what was up. But now I wholeheartedly endorse that advice. Yes, "Meditate on The Infinite." Try to figure out what it means... by meditating, by doing the Conscious Pause while you are meditating, over and over and over and over and over. Slide into the feeling of Infinity. Try to experience what that feels like. Try to experience why that was the guy's advice. It is very good advice, even if, at first, it seems elusive and amorphous. It will seem elusive until you start to get it. Then you will realize, "Oh wow, I can't get out of The Infinite!" Even, "Oh wow, I am The Infinite being aware of it's own infinity from right here where I am."
Infinite means "not finite," remember. A form is finite. A sound is finite. Whereas, The Infinite is the Conscious Formless Context IN WHICH every finite form is happening, sort of like the weather is happening in the not-finite context of the sky. The clouds, the forms and formations of clouds, are happening in the not-finite formless sky. The not-finite formless sky is the sky of Mind, Consciousness. And so, when you meditate on The Infinite, you are experiencing yourself as the sky, as the conscious changeless space in which it is all happening, rather than the formations of weather, only. You will experience yourself merging, so to speak, with the infinity of Consciousness. Do this as homework, if you are so guided. Enjoy what happens :))))
